Another outcome for Field we were meant to produce was a group effort Manifesto based on Cardiff Met’s manifesto of learning in the art sector of the campus, as well as an individual, personal manifesto.
Below is the image of the group manifesto:
The Manifesto was meant to tell people how important Art is to creative individuals. This was a view given by my group as a whole on how important art is to us and to have a building with such a variety of resources at our disposal. I feel it is important to promote the positivity and rewards of art in our culture because the constant cutbacks that are now restricting our passion for art and denying it to the general public as we pointed out in the first sentence of our group manifesto.
My personal manifesto:
My personal manifesto connected with the activities in which I undertook on Field as number 2, stated above, was us bringing art to another border in education. Art should never be subjected to frameworks of limitation – this connects with the cutbacks local artists face in the group manifesto and Arts Councils across the country. What’s a world worth living without culture? Culture brings in finances, tourists, jobs, lifts the economy and provides education about our history.
