Prints for Archaeological Artefacts Project

I went into the dark room today to do four prints of one of the graves from the cemetery by Llandaff Cathedral. These are being used in my project for Archaeological Artefacts in Field. They will be developed into a 3D hollogram, that will sit inside a camera obscura style box.

The gravestone is from the 18th century and already has an element of ancient significance, relating to the stonemasonary of Egyptian artefacts. If these marks would not have been used, the history of deaths etc would not be recorded. A marker to let people know who the graves belonged too, a connection to ancient times as in my generation or maybe the next, stonemasonary and gravestones like this, will be something of the past as cremation is taking over and will potentially be considered an Archaeological find when it is no longer in plain sight.
