Monday Study Group Crit.

Things to think about with your piece:

Colour – it’s not something we’ve really talked about before but colour   will be important.  You might not want to add any colour at all and   instead keep the colours of  whatever material you use, but this has   to be a deliberate choice.

Malleable Tubes – Jon mentioned that when it comes to making the tubes out of plaster, they will be bendable (just enough for you to reshape them). This might come in handy when you’re building the ‘Nest’.

What does it all mean? – You’ve definitely got the personal journey aspect of the piece  sorted but you must also think of the piece as a gallery piece – what do you want to make viewers feel? Anxiety?   Confusion?

You have made a transition from the non-organic (geometric puzzles) to the organic (artery tubes). Consider this journey and what it means to the final piece.

Essentially your task is just to reflect on everything you’ve done so far and really grapple with what you want your piece to mean to others.
